” ในช่วงประมาณพ.ศ. 2535 ทางรัฐบาลมีโครงการเวรคืนที่ดินในบริเวญเกาะบางกระเจ้า เพื่อทำสวนสาธารณะขนาดใหญ่ มีความเห็นที่ไม่เห็นดวยในหลายๆฝ่าย จึงมีการปรับเปลี่ยนโครงการเป็นรับซื่้อที่ดินที่มีผู้สมัครใจที่จะขาย จึงเกิดเป็นสวนสาธารณะขนาดเล็กๆกระจายอยู่ทั่วเกาะ และมีที่บางส่วนที่ยังไม่ได้ทำอะไร จะมีป้ายสีฟ้าๆปักไว้ ซื่งชาวบ้านจะเรียกกันว่า ที่สิ่งแวดล้อม  ”

Bang Krachao is actually one of six tambons located in an area where the river makes a ‘u’ shape after flowing through the capital. The area has, on the whole, been spared from the rapid and uncontrolled development and industrialization synonymous with “the City of Angels”. The area boasts lots of unspoiled villages and, like being out in the countryside, visitors will find plenty of coconut trees and orchards.
